Case Study

Solace Tech Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore company that provides face-to-face IT courses, like Python, Data Science, and React Native.

Common problems during the IT course :

SETUP

The programming course needs software installation, such as the Integrated Development Environment (IDE), Interpreter. Most of the time, during the installation session, the learners face troubles and need hours to troubleshoot them. It disturbs the training schedule and we must remove several lessons for loss of time.

LIMITED TIME

The programming training needs plenty of time, but we can’t conduct face-to-face class with packed, long hours, considering the budget and time availability. We need a strategy to make sure the learners can study the lessons, in their own time, according to their own speed.

INITIAL LEARNING BEFORE THE COURSE

To give effective training, we expect the learners to study the basic lesson at home and try the training’s quiz, but there is no way for us to track. Learners attend the class with no basic understanding. It can slow the class and be a downside for the prepared learners.

With Katalis app, it’s easier for us so we can solve the problems as follows:

SETUP

We create a video of how to install the software, and we upload it to our online course within the Katalis platform. This video will help the learners to install the software required before attending the class. So, when the class begins, we can start the course with no installation problem.

LIMITED TIME

Learning a programming course in one full day is difficult for the beginners. The best learning format is by conducting short training as often as possible according to their time availability, which is time consuming and expensive if delivered using face to face class. Katalis, through the mobile app, allows the learners to run through the training anywhere, on their way or while waiting. The integrated IDE and Katalis application enable the learners to create code through a browser.

INITIAL LEARNING BEFORE THE COURSE

The learners should read the lesson and try the quizzes before attending class so they have the basic understanding about programming. Learners can study basic concepts such as variables, functions, and loop before the class hence the class able to focus on the abstract lessons, which is better through live interaction and Q&A sessions between the learners and lecturer. Lecturers can check the progress through the app, so the lecturer understands the readiness and acts as a reminder if they haven’t finished the required lesson.

With Katalis application, we combine face-to-face and online classes to offer affordable and goal-achieving course.
